Abu Garcia
Abu Garcia - Carl-August Borgström founded AB Urfabriken (ABU) in 1921. He had previously worked as a foreman at Haldafabriken, but was made redundant after the First World War when Halda ran into difficulties. From the beginning, ABU produced pocket watches. Alarm clocks and telephone controllers. In 1934, his son Göte Borgström took over the company and focused on the development of taximeters.
In 1939 he developed the world's smallest taximeter.
